My work is about my encounters with the natural world and the people that inhabit it. Working across media, I make paintings, drawings and surfboards that focus on the joy and beauty of small moments in time.  The fleeting nature of memories of childhood, the specificity of a small gesture- or fractured light across a half-forgotten landscape, becomes a way to make a memory of a memory. The intangible suddenly becomes tangible, an intimate reflection is suddenly visible and shareable.

 

Through color and texture, I aim to create immersive experiences

that invite viewers to connect deeply with their own feelings and

memories. Growing up near the ocean has profoundly influenced

my artistic vision, instilling in me an appreciation for nature’s

rhythms. The interplay of light on water, the shifting colors in the

sky, and the ever-changing landscape is infused into the language

of my work.
