OWEN HUNTER STUDIO is the rebranding of SunnySide Surfboards. This transition, entirely created and shaped by my own hands, has been a journey of growth—an opportunity to explore the importance of community, constructive criticism, and self-reflection. Through this rebrand, I’ve taken a deep dive into social media analytics, trends, and the lessons learned from my time with SunnySide—what worked, what didn’t, and where I could improve.

 

My goal with this project is to share my work as an artist—not through the lens of a brand, but as an extension of myself. In a way, the brand is me. Everything I create, make, and share comes from genuine passion and curiosity. Sharing these ideas with an audience is just one part of the journey.

 

Figuring out how to present my work in a more authentic, human way—rather than feeling like I’m selling something—has been a challenge, but also incredibly rewarding. Now, after months of reflection and refining my approach, I feel more connected to this process than ever. My main goal is to show the importance of brand building, storytelling, and being able to get people interested in what it is I'm sharing. Through several different techniques such as Adobe creative cloud, marketing strategies, business operations and much more.

 

This website serves as a hub for my personal work and creative endeavors. Choosing to develop a new identity in January 2025 was a difficult decision, but the growth and lessons I’ve gained in such a short time have been invaluable. I’m excited to bring you along for this next chapter, and I hope you enjoy what’s to come.
