LONG TIME FRIENDS CUP
The Long Time Friends Cup is an annual golf tournament held each June or July. With 8–10 men competing, the event features several smaller competitions within the larger tournament. This distinguished group has been featured in magazines, and many stories have been shared about their special yearly gathering. These lifelong friends—some of whom have known each other since elementary school—make the tournament truly unique. Each year's winner hosts the following event, with past tournaments taking place across the United States. In 2023, the tournament was held in Chicago, Illinois, and in 2024, it took place in Encinitas, California. Now, completing it for the third year in a row they make their way back to Santa Cruz, California.
In 2023, one of the founding members of LTFC approached me to design the tournament logo for the Chicago event. I immediately accepted, honored to contribute to something so meaningful in these men’s lives. The 2023 logo incorporated various elements specifically requested by the member, each holding a special significance—whether it was a favorite brewery, a personal connection, or an inside joke. The players loved the final design, which was featured on golf balls and other memorabilia they kept as souvenirs.
In 2024, I was thrilled to be invited back to create the logo for the tournament’s 20th anniversary—this time in my hometown of Encinitas, California. This design was particularly special, featuring hidden details and personal touches that celebrated the tournament’s rich history and friendships. With special guests joining the event and longtime friends coming together once again, I was beyond grateful to play a small part in such a meaningful tradition.

Now, in 2025 I was approached for the third time as they made their way back to Santa Cruz, California. Just a short hour drive from where these guys grew up as kids on "the other side of the hill". It was inspired by the movie 'Chasing Mavericks' and features "the quad" as this will be there fourth time in Santa Cruz. Once again, an honor to make the logo for the third time now.
